Is there anything better??

It's an after Labor Day drop in temperature! Holy Moly it's cold out there, a mere 62. brrrrrrr. so what does a creative person do? She makes a steaming pot of Chicken Noodle soup. omg. goodness. Perfect for all the Fall sniffles and chills. Warms you from the inside out.

They can't all be masterpieces!

I believe part of the reason people THINK I'm a good cook/baker is because I have tenacity. I am relentless when it comes to getting a recipe right, tweaking it so it fits my needs of being easily recreated. I prefer NOT to use every gadget,pan, bowl and cooking utensil I have thank you very much. Oh don't get me wrong, I have tried those recipes where you have to forage the health food, veggie, and spice store looking for that very special ingredient. It's like where is waldo sometimes. I have literally felt like I was on a scavenger hunt. Those recipes are NOT FOR ME! I have a tendency to try and tweak a lot of baking to include "cake mix". What? It's faster, and when I'm raring to go in the morning, start the coffee and commence to baking something wonderful that will be ready before a son has to go to school (so he can enjoy it for breakfast)...cake mix it is. I apologize to all my sugar free friends, but it's just my opinion

With all of that in mind, the enclosed are not the most beautiful pictures, but it sure was tasty. I feel, that's what it really is all about, isn't it?

Ah, the Garden...

I am an Urban Gardener. I do not have any rhyme or reason, just whatever I like. It's all mine. The boys are allowed to dig a hole and plant, I ask for opinions from time to time, but I HAVE THE FINAL SAY SO...I think that's why I love it so...I buy plants, and use seeds & bulbs. Some of it was here when we bought the house, but most is my doing.Some pictures...

I am also new to blogging, so I haven't figured out how to move them around :) You get the picture, so to speak. Til next time...

Welcome to the maiden voyage of Suzi's Creations...let's hope it fairs better than the SS Minnow! (Gilligan's boat for all you youngsters). I thought this would be a good way to share pictures of my recent Baked Goods, Cheesecakes, Jewelry, and Party Decor, with some travel photos as well. Enjoy!


See the Starfish/Umbrella on the left...I printed a copy of the invitation we had sent onto Velum, and cut it to the size of the Dollar store vase, then placed a battery operated tea light inside for the evening. I've done  this for several themes, you could put a child's picture for a birthday party or a graduation picture, any color photo can be printed with your home computer printer or if you don't have one, make friends with the people at your local copy store :)
